1. Controller

Gensheimer Holding UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kreillerstr. 131, 81825 Munich, Germany, represented by its managing director Johannes Gensheimer. Email: johannes@fento.ai.

This policy applies to branchenblick.com and to all editions on subdomains of branchenblick.com and on their own domains named in the imprint.

2. Hosting and server logs

The pages are hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, and served from a data centre in Frankfurt am Main. When you access the site, Vercel processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, requested URL, user agent, referrer) in server logs. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation. A data processing agreement with EU standard contractual clauses is in place with Vercel.

3. Audience measurement and web analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog (provider: PostHog Inc., USA) to analyse how the website is used. Analytics data is processed on servers within the European Union (eu.posthog.com). Technically, the data is transmitted via our own domain (path /ingest) to the PostHog servers in the EU. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is based on appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR (EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU standard contractual clauses). PostHog operates in two tiers:

a) Cookieless audience measurement (without consent): As long as you do not consent, we measure website usage strictly anonymously and without accessing your device. No cookies are set and nothing is stored in or read from your browser. To tell visits apart, a short-lived identifier is computed server-side from technical connection data (including IP address and browser signature). The random value used for this changes daily and is deleted afterwards, which rules out recognition beyond a single day or across other websites. We record page views, time on page, scroll depth and clicks on buttons, in each case without personal content. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-preserving audience measurement (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). You can object to this processing at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) by emailing johannes@fento.ai.

b) Extended analytics (only with consent): If you click “Accept” in the cookie notice, PostHog sets cookies and stores a pseudonymous identifier in your browser to recognise returning visits. In addition, we then record interactions with the page in more detail and create session recordings in which form inputs are masked. Only in this tier do we also load Google Analytics 4 where configured (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), which sets its own cookies. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting this website's cookies and stored data in your browser; the notice will then appear again and measurement falls back to the cookieless tier. The analytics cookies set until then are removed in the process.

4. Access by automated systems

Requests from known search and AI crawlers (identified by their user agent) are counted server-side to understand how content is retrieved by search engines and AI systems. No personal data of visitors is processed in the course of this.

5. Language preference

When you choose a language, we store that choice in a cookie named NEXT_LOCALE (valid for one year) so that your next visit opens in your language directly. The cookie only contains the language code and is technically necessary (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).

6. Contact by email

If you write to us by email, we process your details to handle the enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for that purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; in Bavaria this is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA).
